Time to mix glazes

I spent a little time getting the kiln shed in order. There is still so much to do! Somehow squirels ate all the electrical cords running spotlights to various spaces. That was the strangest thing. The kiln looks good and that was the biggest concern last time, they had nested in the chimney. I think we spent a full day removing acorns and leaves and all sorts of stuffing. Next step: mix glazes!

Pots waiting to be glazed. Notice Asa's work too!

In the Studio

I am making some fun work in the studio. I made three of these, each with it's own personality. This kiln load is going to be fantastic.

AGP supports Tails at Twilight

Amy Gelber Pottery was happy to be part of Tails at Twilight, a worthy cause to help the Animal Protection Society of Durham. We donated a large wavy bowl to their auction. See the details below:

I am excited about a new creative cycle. Spring is here and I look forward to making a new series of pots. I am focusing mainly on pottery for the garden, flower pots, watering vessels, large bowls to showcase a beautiful salad. My husband and I have started our own garden and it has changed our lives. This next series of pots reflect my love for being outside, working in the garden, and marveling at the wonders of nature.
